David graduated with honors from the University of Texas School of Law in 1998. He previously graduated with highest honors from the University of Texas at Austin.

David has served as first chair and/or principal trial counsel on numerous verdicts and settlements for his clients. David has obtained precedent setting verdicts in both toxic tort and pharmaceutical litigation.  He has obtained trial verdicts against dozens of different defendants.  David was also a principal trial counsel in the first and only plaintiff’s trial verdict in the country against a pharmaceutical company for making a cough/cold product containing phenylpropanolamine (PPA) (Miguel Valverde v. Bayer Corp).

David has been selected as one of America's Premier Lawyers by the Sky Radio Network. He has also been recognized several times by his peers as a Texas Super Lawyer “Rising Star” in both the Texas Monthly and Texas Super Lawyer magazines. David has also been an invited speaker at attorney seminars for both plaintiff and defense attorneys.  David is actively involved in the Firm's asbestos, benzene and pharmaceutical litigation practices.
