Benzene

Benzene is a highly flammable chemical solvent commonly used in the manufacturing of a wide variety of industrial and consumer products.  Classified by the federal government as a Class A carcinogen, Benzene was linked to fatal blood and bone disorders as early as 1897. Medical reports of the deadly effects of Benzene exposure have been published in the United States since the 1920s, and by the 1960s it was widely accepted that workplace and environmental Benzene exposure was responsible for hundreds of cases of fatal illnesses.
If you or someone you know has a history of working with this toxic substance, please contact us for more information about Benzene exposure and your rights under the law.

Benzene Related Illnesses

Despite stringent regulations set forth by government and workplace safety groups, the use of Benzene in manufacturing and production continues to endanger the lives of workers in countless professions. Steel workers, firefighters, gas station employees and industrial production workers are just a few of those facing serious health risks associated with occupational exposure to Benzene.

Serious Diseases Associated with Benzene Exposure:
  • Aplastic Anemia
  • Non-Hodgkin’s Lymphoma
  • Acute Myeloid Leukemia (AML)**
  • Acute Lymphocytic Leukemia (ALL)

**If you or a loved one has been diagnosed with AML, Acute Myeloid Leukemia, it is important that you contact a Benzene lawyer as soon as possible. Like Mesothelioma, the cause is from an unsafe work environment and financial compensation may be sought through the help of an experienced Benzene lawyer.
